Lara Harries is a seasoned immigration consultant and the founder of North Trek Immigration, bringing over 25 years of expertise in immigration, recruitment, and newcomer integration. She specializes in guiding applicants through the complexities of the Canadian immigration system, with a focus on individuals working in high-demand sectors.
Originally from South Africa, Lara has lived in rural communities across Newfoundland, Manitoba, and Alberta. Her firsthand experience as an immigrant - and her time spent in diverse regions of Canada—give her unique insight into the challenges newcomers face, especially in smaller or remote communities.
Lara’s work is rooted in her passion for diversity, inclusion, and community building. Having personally navigated the immigration journey, she approaches her clients’ cases with deep empathy, compassion, and a genuine desire to help them succeed. Her mission is to make each client’s transition to life in Canada as smooth and meaningful as possible—empowering them not just to arrive, but to truly belong.
