Lara Harries brings 25 plus years of experience working in Canada in healthcare recruitment and attraction and retention initiatives to integrate newcomers into their communities.
Lara immigrated to Canada from South Africa 30+ years ago and made Canada her home. Her work experience includes working for herself as an independent recruiter for 15 years, recruiting physicians to Canada.
Lara also worked for one of the biggest healthcare organizations in Canada, recruiting healthcare providers. Working as a recruiter has given her vast knowledge of processes such as credential verification and licensing requirements and processes to be regulated in Canada.
During her first 20 years of living in Canada Lara lived in rural areas, from Newfoundland to Manitoba and then to Alberta where she currently resides for the past 25 years. Even though she has lived in Calgary for many years now, she has a heart for rural and integration of newcomers into rural communities.
Immigrating is only the first step coming to Canada, but most importantly Integrating into a community and workplace where diversity, inclusion and belonging are key, so Lara has made that an integral part of her practice today.
She is knowledgeable and resourceful and leverages her strengths with good communication and collaboration skills to ensure optimal outcomes with everyone she works with.
